Romeo and Juliet have just spent their first night together and Romeo has to leave Juliet’s house early in the morning, before he is found and killed. Juliet doesn’t want Romeo to leave and tells him that it wasn’t the lark, it was the nightingale. Romeo is convinced by this and says “Let me be ta’en, let me be put to death. Juliet wills it, so I am content.” Then after these lines are said by Romeo, Juliet changes her mind and convinces Romeo that is was the lark that “sings so out of tune” and tells him to leave before he is found and killed. We feel sympathy for Juliet in this scene because she is stuck in a dilemma between Romeo and her family...
