Many people said she might have been African, or Negroid. People came to this conclusion because the features in her portraits are really different from the original Egyptians. People think she might have suffered from some sort of disfigurement, because Amenhotep IV had some of the same disfigurements as she did. Amenhotep’s physique could have been significant in some way, we’ll never really know for sure, but many members of his family were drawn or painted with big heads, thin necks, slouching shoulders, and paunchy stomachs...
