Brutus was a very idealistic person. He believed that everyone strived for the better of Rome as he had. This is one major flaw that led him to join the conspirators. Cassius easily tricked Brutus by telling him that Caesar is power hungry and was going to try to become king of Rome. He filled Brutus’s head with thoughts of how Caesar is no different from him and how Brutus can be just as good of a ruler as Caesar.
