As Gatz grew into Gatsby, Daisy became Gatsby's new-sprung dream, one that he would and did pursue to no end. As a reason of his affection towards her, Gatsby describes Daisy’s voice as “full of money.”(P.127) Daisy’s voice was “full of money,” hence making her, like Dan Cody, a portraiture of wealth. This comes to show that Gatsby’s pursuit of Daisy is nothing less than a cognate appearance of his original intention of the prototypical American Dream.
As Gatsby became more affluent, he moves to West Egg in New York to live right across a sound from Daisy. Gatsby's house is a somewhat artificial place, for the house built to impress Daisy with his so-called wealth in the first place...
