Although there are many things that I feel have changed for the worse, I still like this life.
"Used to be, a knight in shining armor
Didn't have to own a shiny car.
Dignity and courage was the measure of ma.
Not the drugs he needs to hide the scar."
I really liked this stanza in the poem "Used to Be." It really shows how things have changed. As far as I am concerned chivalry has completely died. Besides my own boyfriend being absolutely wonderful, the act of courtship and "dating," has a totally new approach.
This poem is expressing how everything is different in our society than it was back in "the good old days...
