All of his good nature vanished. As soon as Duncan arrived at Inverness, Macbeth started plotting Duncan's murder. Lady Macbeth thought of Macbeth as a coward at times, like when he started feeling guilty of the murder. But, the murder did take place. Ever since that murder, Macbeth turned completely evil.
In the Murder of Duncan scene, Macbeth turns cowardly when he won't complete the murder by taking back the daggers and giving them to the guards. It shows that he was insecure, and didn't seem very confident in the success of the murder. However, Macbeth no longer needed Lady Macbeth's encouragement and started to plan murders on his own...
