While Macbeth becomes stronger and more ambitious, Lady Macbeth does the opposite. She starts out strong, but becomes weak and reserved. In the beginning of the play Macbeth doesn’t trust the witches . When they hail him as the thane of Cawdor and it, shortly after, comes true his suspicions become overlooked. When the witches tell him he will be king he is surprised and doesn’t seriously consider killing Duncan. Lady Macbeth talks to him about murdering king Duncan, she pushed him to pursue murder. Lady Macbeth gives an excuse that Duncan looks too much like her father, and buts the dagger in Macbeths hand...
