The new king and Hamlet’s mother start to wonder what is wrong with the young man. The king, wanting to find out what is wrong, sets up Ophelia to talk to Hamlet while he would listen in. Ophelia is Hamlet’s love, so the king thinks he would speak to her. Hamlet is smarter than this trap, he knows what is going on, so instead of talking to Ophelia he argues with her. Even his two best friends, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern were sent for by the king and queen. Nor did they succeed in finding out anything about Hamlet...
