I chose the poem because it is one of my all time favorites. I love this poem because it expresses a woman's inner self. Dr. Angelou wrote this poem to express her thought, of how men should view a woman's perspective. This poem to me is very valuable because I am a woman. The work gives me confidence and strength as a woman and encourages me as I grow in my journey in life.
You will notice after each segment Dr. Angelou says the title of the poem "Phenomenal Women". I believe this is a way for her to express that all women are phenomenal and shows how of important the ?character' woman is in the poem...
