Golding shows that in the beginning the boys remembered the rules in there old society. In the book Roger throws rocks at Henry, but aims to miss not to hit. (Golding 62) Clearly Roger still has some kind of sense of his old civilization where he had the protection of parents and rules to guide him. The once guided boys became lost in there new society.
Once the boys got a taste of hunting it became a game. Golding shows how the boys developed a passion for hunting. In the beginning of the novel Jack was not able to kill the pig he then promises after being antagonized by the other boys that he will kill next time...
