Speaking of family, her uncle King Creon, was distorted. Since he didn't like her brother Polyneices, he made it a law to not bury him when he had died. When Antigone gave her brother a proper burial, Creon sentenced her to death to rot in a vault.
Going through all of this, you would think Antigone would have help from some one, but she didn't. Her own sister, Ismene, didn't even help her. She respected the King and the law, and didn't want to defy him...
