His first successful play was entitled All My Sons which was produced in 1947. Two years later, Miller wrote Death of a Salesman. That play won the Pulitzer Prize and gave Miller national notability. In 1953 Miller published The Crucible, which was a reflection of the anti-columnist frenzy that took place in the 1950s. Twice in his career, Miller won the New York Drama Critics Circle Award. Miller’s play, Broken Glass won the Olivier Award for Best Play of the London Season. Miller’s most famous piece of work was Death of a Salesman.
