Georgia Totto O'Keeffe was born on November 15th 1887 in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. After graduating high school in 1905, she traveled to Chicago to study painting at the Art Institute of Chicago. In 1907 she enrolled at the Art Students League in New York City. O'Keeffe won a prize for an untitled painting during her time in New York. Her prize was a scholarship for the Leagues outdoor summer school where she met her future husband, Alfred Stieglitz, a famous photographer...
